which is the best code 2 quad or AMD Phenom x4 ?
Are you looking to purchase a complete desktop or are you going to be building one from scratch (be it assembling it yourself or choosing parts for a vendor to build). Fact is, saying which is better, "core 2 quad or phenom x4?" doesn't give us much to go by since there are many different models varying from cache size, clock time, and price. From a performance perspective, obviously paying more will get you more but that doesn't mean it's going to be the best option. I think it would be best if you give us a price range then we could go from there.
Side note, I'd personally go with an Intel chip. I've been overclocking them since forever and haven't had any issues. I'm sure others will disagree though. Well best of luck to you, seems like more research will be at hand.
