Is this for gaming? Watching movies? OCing (Powerhouse)?

What OS? Do you already have it? 64 or 32 bit?

From the way it sounds you want to watch movies.
If you don't want games, then you dont need an nForce chipset for SLI.
I would recommend at least a GTX 260 Gfx card or better, and an HT | OMEGA sound card if you're looking for consumer-grade stuff. HT OMEGA's higher quality products are available to consumers, and are almost pro quality :)

You can find these things at Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

    Thanksing for answering beeping

Watching HD and Blu ray movies and downlaoding from the net mainly...OS will be windows 7 64 bit

Hi beeping that sound like a good graphics card, but there are many in that series..which one do you mean? The shop has two Gainward GTX260 896MB GS and Gainward GeForce GTX260 GS 896MB

What do you think of this mother board please: Gigabyte EX58-UD3R

those are the exact same cards (besides the way its written being flipped), and they both link back to T-I's homepage. If your end price has to be exactly 1 grand that means you are going to need to look around in the $100-170 mobo's

Newegg.com - ASUS P7P55D LE LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

is a very good compatible mobo and can support crossfire (2 [nvidia] graphics cards)
the gtx 260 is more than good enough.

    Thanks Ethicks

The Gtx 260 is expensive thats the problem this is the two GTX cards my local shop has

http://www.netonnet.se/art/dator/datorkomponenter/grafikkort/nvidia/Gainward-GFGTX260GS896MB(122349,4038) this stands at 200 us dolars

http://www.netonnet.se/art/dator/datorkomponenter/grafikkort/nvidia/Gainward-GeForceGTX260GS896MB(124235,4038) this is little more expensive

Do you need such a good card for Blu ray movies and HD stuff for it to be shown on a TV?

What CPu would you use with that mother board Ethicks? Will that comapny ship overseas?

    Thanks
    F

That mobo takes the new core i5 and i7 Cpu's

Also, are you planning to reuse any of your old PC and what is the specs of your old one, if known?

Its so old its not worth mentioning 8 or 9 years, Iam buying everything new and including the case as the new cooling systems are so good nowadays and since i run my PC 24/7 seeding its imporant to have a proper cooling system and low wattage ..even my hard disk is too small..which is only 150gb when you see the size of blu ray flims on trackers

This is the case i thinking about

Maybe you should check out a Radeon HD4870 instead of a 4890. They're a lot cheaper and you won't really notice the lesser performance in most applications and games...

I'd also recommend going for a 3x1GB or 3x2GB RAM setup (depending on the prices of RAM modules in sweden), because DDR3 is triple-channel (as opposed to DDR2 and dual-channel), so you'll get the most performance from using 3 identical modules.
