I wouldnt be worried. I switched over as well and everything works fine :) There might be a compatibility list somewhere out there. I'll try to look for one for you and post it here soon.
Not natively it wont. You would have to get Ultimate or Professional. Then you would get a lot of compatabilaty but not all things would work.
see link for the difference in versions Which one is right for you? - Microsoft Windows
The version of Windows he gets won't make a difference on compatability unless it's a 64 bit version. Which for the majority of programs won't be a problem either.
If your on this forum I'm sure you'll be getting Ultimate anyway.
I say go for it, I doubt you'll have any issues getting your programs to work, and if you do it may be time to update them.

There you go. Browse through that and find your hardware to see if it's compaible with windows 7.

Drivers and programs isn't a problem - because all drivers and programs can be installed as Vista x32/x64 compactible. So you emulate Vista which is basically the same as W7.
I use the Windows 7 on my computer and so far there aprensentou no incompatibility problem because even the 7 Windows 7 uses a technology that emulates the XP and has no problems
windows 7 is nice
sometime u get a message that the program may be not compactible but always the programm works for me.
i think u dont have to worry about that
the only thing that didnt work for me was xpadder, and once i set it in compatibility mode it worked with no problems.
(win 7 64 bit)
Maximum will be automatically supported. Most of the rest will be updated to support. The others you can try to run in compatibility mode!
