    Default Notebook VS. Netbook

    Hi Guy's
I have been using a Netbook for about 2-3 months. specifically i have a Ausu Eee PC, its got all the standard Netbook hardware intel N270 1GB RAM Chipset ETC. I also have a Dell Vorosto 1500 with Intel Centrino Dual 2.4GHz processor and 2GB RAM. So technically it was quite a step down, but i dont do any intense gaming, only Zuma and stuff like that so that wasn't a concern. i really only use my Netbook for the Internet (Chrome), MS Office Suit and music. im quite happy with the change. sure searching my itunes library is a little slower but thatd really it.

I was wondering if anyone else has made this switch and their thoughts on it?

I bought MSI Wind. It is very light and useful.
All I need for office and home uses.

Cons: It CAN NOT play HD movies 720p ;p lol... the graphic/ proc is too slow.

I love my little netbook. It's an eeePC 900A. I use it for taking notes in school, internet browsing, mild torrenting, and even some gaming. It runs any Quake3 engine game and earlier perfectly and is a perfect size to just carry around. I haven't found a notebook that I'd prefer to it yet.

Really, i use to love that game! I might in light of your post find my copy and see how it goes, how does it run?
Have any other games that go alright on your netbook?

Netbook is fun to take to school, use it in a train or just in front of tv. But desktop is still the best.
I bought a fast vaio notebook, and I switched back to desktop in 2 weeks. I also own a netbook but never use it.

never used one but is a netbook more than a glorified browser? I saw the specs and the OS options and that came to mind but I haven't looked at them in a while though.

That depends on the iterations of your perception of heaven and earth.

I dunno about them honestly. I'm not sure if I'm just not looking in the right place or what but none of them really have over 1 gig of ram. I would say notebook. Even for around the same amount of money you still get a decent machine that will be able to do more quicker. Still with decent battery life.
