Has anyone given Google Chrome a good spin? What are your thoughts? I'm just starting play with it now in Linux, and it seems zippy. But no add-ons like FF :-(

Didn't really care for it that much, it's simplistic which I'm sure a lot of people like.
For the majority of users though I don't reckon it really compares to firefox for an everyday browser.
It's only good for slow connections, otherwise use FF. By slow i mean like <1 mbit / <.3 mbit

I wouldn't say it's worse than IE... it's really ok... kind of... not really... haha.
Opera's pretty good if you know how to use it.

Well, I do like it, it just needs more support for add-ons. Keep in mind that G-Chrome is multi-threaded. Meaning that each of it's tabs run in a separate process on your OS. That makes the browser far more secure and resilient to crashes than any of the other browsers. My guess is that FF and all the rest will have to also go the multi-thread route. When IE is going to make that happen though, who knows. It took IE how long to implement tabs?

Oh i never knew that, no wonder it works good on slow connections!
You're right it does need more addons.
Also I don't like how the download bar disappears when you go into a different tab... and how it saves downloads to
/user/documents/downloads
instead of
/user/downloads
