Every single time I try to download ubuntu, I have CD burning errors, my burner doesn't work, or there is just some other error. So, I decided to be patient and order a free CD from their website. You know how it says it usually takes 6-8 weeks? Hahahaha. I ordered in July 17th around 9PM, and I found the CD in my mailbox this morning! That is only 12 days! There was no questions asked, they didn't even call the phone number that I put in the form, they just sent me the CDs. I think Canonical is taking the term open source to the next level. The package had bubble wrap inside of it, and it had a shiny cd cover. Of course everything looked great, I took a picture of it to show you guys.
And what could make it better than some STICKERS! It came with 4 Ubuntu stickers, they are definitely going to be put to good use. :001_smile:
Sorry about the low quality pics, I took them with my phone
It really is worth a try if you are going to use it. I definitely will use it. If you want to get your hands on one yourself, here is a link for you!
Even though it says 6-8, that is a maximum. I got mine in 12 days as I said above =)
