It will run ALOT faster. I don't trust not-final software so I'm using Vista x64, could never go back to the 32bit version. It's a huge speed difference
Can you help me out here?

Apps - yes, but we're talking the system itself now.

Windows 7 runs better than vista in almost every way, however i find that windows XP runs best out of all the windows still. I have both 7 and XP on dual boot, using XP for gaming mostly.

I don't see what XP offers that 7 does not other than total simplicity versus perceived simplicity.

I've been running Windows 7 since the first beta as my primary OS and haven't had any problems.

Vista suxx, 7 rules! I'am using 7 since the first beta, and i'am realy happy with it. There are a few features i missing, but all in one it's much better than vista. But if you have the coice, use XP! :)

Windows will only use 3 GB of RAM maximum with any 32 bit operating system. Even if Vista is detecting your last GB of RAM right now, it is not being used. Upgrading to a 64 bit OS either for Vista or Windows 7 will give you access to this final GB.

I have been running win 7 rc1 for several months and its stable as a rock, I love it. I would suggest you use the 64 bit version otherwise you wont be able to use all of your 4gb of ram.
