Default S.O.S. !!!!!! problem while installing windows 7

I tried to install windows 7 on my PC but I have the same error !!
the DVD is good and I am using clean install . ( and I tried two versions of it : the windows 7 RC 7100 build & windows 7 RTM the latest build )

and I have the same error ,,, after clicking on install now after booting from DVD I get the following error :
'A required CD/DVD Device Driver is Missing. If you have a driver disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now'

this is a copy of the error :

    I don't know what to do ???

Are you using RAID HDD? If you have RAID driver disc, insert it.
Make sure that you have Win7 driver disc for all your devices.
I think people should wait untill Microsoft release their Windows 7 final vesion (Oct - 22th I think).

How many HDD have you got? Are you using Westen, Seagate or Samsung or... HDD? You know nothing about RAID so I think you aren't using RAID HDD. But you know IDE and SATA, right?
If you're using IDE HDD, change ACHI to IDE, it should have no problem with Win 7.
If you're using SATA HDD (mean ACHI), keep your ACHI setting, and it should have no problem with Win 7, too.
I'm using Win Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 with SATA - ACHI HDD anh have know problem.
Post here if you can't fix your problem with my ideal above!

I wouldn't recommend you install windows 7 on your main pc either, it is a relatively unstable version (beta of course) and I would not trust my data to a beta windows OS, especially not since this is proceeding the Vista OS that imo, flopped bigtime. Try a raid disk if you have any. Check out your motherboard manufacturer's website for a make-disk program or see if you can make one with your motherboard installation CD on another computer.

1 SATA HDD... Just try to change ACHI setting to IDE and reinstall Win7. If you can install -> Done (But IDE's slower than ACHI)
If you can't, I think I can't help you now, sorry!

Maybe HDD isn't your problem. You can ask someone else or bring your computer to 1 computer shop that you trust and ask them. Maybe you're using an old computer with something broken or something like that. In that case, your best option is buy a new one.

done that but no use ,,, so I decided to do something

I installing win xp on my pc and from win xp I inserted win 7 dvd ,,, and start installing ,,, and it worked

but I have issue now ,,, there's too windowses ( xp and 7 ) on drive d ,,, and I thought I could install win xp on drive d and win 7 on drive c ,, and then format drive d along with win xp ,,, so the pc would be only win7 ,,, but I couldn't install win 7 on drive C ( becuase of drive C is not NTFS ) so I had to install two windowses on one drive ,,, is there away to delete win xp but keep win 7 ??

or I have to format again ,, and from the fdisk change the c drive from FAT to NTFS ??

your help is really appreciatted ;)

Yes, you must format driver C to NTFS. There're several ways to do that. You can use your XP disc or Win7 disc to format C to NTFS. Or you can use Fdisk, too.
