Thread: What Proxy Server?

Currently my country blocks me from using Megaupload therefore I need to use a proxy to access it. Can you guys help me out on which proxy server is fast and stable to download things with. Thanks!

I always use to use proxify.com when my school would block certain websites. There are tons out there though. A quick google search should give you a bunch of results.

proxify.com requires me to pay for the service.... anyone know andy free, fast and reliable ones?

There's a good software called proxyswitcher. Maybe try that out?

You could try Tor, but depending on the relay it can be rather slow. Speedwise, it's probably best to just setup an SSH tunnel on a server. I'm sure you have a mate who rents a server somewhere. Otherwise, try contacting a company that offers free shell accounts and ask if it's ok to setup a tunnel for this specific purpose. Most of them won't let you set one up by default though.
