    Default UBUNTU~~A beginner's choice..

    Do u people think that all linux lovers should start with UBUNTU..??Is it really for novice...???
    When I first used it then I found that too confusing but with the passage of time,I became used to it!!!!!

    yes, ubuntu and mandriva are the best novice choices... i put ubuntu in my laptop to university and its very easy to work... mandrive is on my school computers and are very similar, so any of these are very easy to work with...

    you could try having a look at Kubuntu also.. i think the version is up to KDE 4.2? nice UI sorta like vista/win7 but looks better :)

    For anyone who is new to linux, highly recommend to use Ubuntu as starter. Ubuntu is very widely use in linux, got great community there where you can find answers to your related problems.
    After you are getting used to Ubuntu, you can go for Fedora, Debian and lots of linux OS system out there
