Wait 1 tb SSD ? dont SSD drives get more susceptible to damage than HDD because of the way they handle data ?
i read somewhere that the life expectancy of an SSD drive is much lower than a HDD :(

I heard they lasted longer because they didn't have any moving parts.
The current SSDs are more reliable than the HDDs. There are some people that bought SSDs and exposed them to 24/7 constant load, equivalent of years of regular use, just to test their reliability.

My thoughts:
SSD: + Fast speeds, low access times, no moving parts (waay more robust).
- price, capacity
HDD: + Large, cheap,
- Fragile, long access times, slow compared to SSD.
I spoke to a server hosting company when we had to upgrade our server. He would avoid SSD at all cost for use in servers, because of all the activity on the drive. I think a local fileserver (which we were talking about) and a seedbox are much alike in disk usage.
Anyways, this is, like Azitox says, a myth.
