Default Startpage - a search engine that protects your privacy

Firstly this isn't in any way an advertisement. I'm simply posting about a great resource I have run into.

Startpage claims to be one of the most privacy conscious search engines, having recieved many awards, such as the European Privacy Seal. Supposedly it doesn't record your IP address, nor does it store anything about its users in a database. The results are taken from Google.

I've been using this site for a couple of weeks and I don't miss Google at all. I'm not ok with Google recording so much information about me (I've also switched back to Firefox from Chrome).

Is anybody else using it, and if so what's your opionion about it?

I've heard of it, I also heard that you can't really trust it's owners.
    Google isn't better either...

Anyway, I mostly use google SSL search.

About google recording your info, there are a few extensions that prevent it, I use: advertising cookie opt out, ad block plus, no script.
I forbid everything related to google with noscript.
