Thread: What AV(antivirus) you are using and why?

I use AVG, it's foolproof and then you don't have to do a damn thing after you have installed it. It even comes with a youtube accelerator now

And that defines some of the bloat that makes AVG a resource hog.

Currently I'm using Kaspersky, have been for the past 2/3 years. I've tried lots of different programs, but they either don't do there job effectively or they slowed my system down to a stand still. Also, with Kaspersky Pure Package it comes with a password manager which is kinda awesome.

I actually use none above listed on the polls, and I have used ESET NOD32 Smart Security for a long time, as I believe and thinks it is the best and simplest antivirus software. Doesn't take too much place of the CPU when running, unlike other antivirus.

I've seen tests performed and this software has consistently had top performance. Also, it is very light on resources.
But I recommend AVAST antivirus for friends who want a free option.
