Thread: Old Xbox that i was going to try customising

I have an old xbox that i wouldnt mind chipping, its not going on the network so i dont care about xbox live, it really is just to take apart and play with?

I have found a great deal of sites each with slighty differant advice, software in some case's even the way to take it apart?



Im thinking about doing it in at the end of the month when my mate comes down for the weekend to see if we can get it playing cracked games?

any advice, experiances, tools, software, site or tutorials to follow that you can share would be appreciated. like i say it is just an old working xbox to mess with (my kinnect has since surpassed it and matches the plasma lol)

Are you going to add a mod chip, jtag a 360 or just flash the drive with a new firmware? Either way your going to need to open the unit and need to purchase the supplies ahead of time, might want to try do a search for "divineo" (not sure of the link policy here) as they have everything you'll need for the original xbox or an older 360.

was going to flash it, but like i say it is purly for fun and im happy to be daring and get my soldering iron out lol

Depending on the drive you have there are different tools. I used xecuter ck3 with probe. You'll definitely want to order the parts early... most sites ship from out of us I think. thanks guys got the xbox unlocker off of amazon and the a torx screwdriver set as well, got a couple of replacement thumb stick and will fix a pad the mutt chewed lol if i get it working i may go nuts mod the shit out of it, just for fun, : )
