    Default 4 TB hard drive

THE 4TB HARD DRIVE HAS ARRIVED! You can order in seagate or you could even preorder on amazon but now it seems to be out of stock. The Mac version of the hard drive will be available at the end of the month according to engadget.

For more info read or ubergizmo for example or a quick search on google with tons of results

The price would be 230-250$ and is called Seagate Goflex 4tb

Expect more info and drives from other companies (like Western Digital for example) in the following weeks or few months

4tb hard drive is like a dream come truth, but comming from seagate it's a big nightmare. I had 2 seagate hard drives and both of them died. I lost important data, data that i could not retrive. :)

I think the current technology is dying and will soon be replaced by SSD's.
What i'm looking forward to is the arrival of nano technologies in HDD's, it would certainly increase immensely the storage
    capacity...

My storage needs right now are filled with 2TB . Guess time is now to wait before a reliable HDD or SDD comes !

More like bad quality control, I had a seagate 500gb hdd fail and also lost all data. Seagate quoted me £1200 to retrieve the data - I'm currently persuing other avenues!

Its all well and good to have huge HDD capacities but not all devices or software will support 3TB let alone 4TB HDDs.

I hope we see an internal 4TB HDD soon, that's the big news I'm waiting for..
That 100 MB/s through USB 3.0 is okay for an external drive of course, but I would expect an internal drive surpassing 150 MB/s as it would be nice for a seedbox configuration in RAID 10 or 0 as well as personal computer usage.
