Google is working on a new bookmark manager that is apparently targeted at Chrome's Web UI.
The new feature is added to the "new tab" page, which adds a third page to the existing "most visited" and Apps pages. The Bookmarks page resembles the look of the Apps page and uses significantly larger icons for each bookmark, while it enables the user to simply browse through a bookmarks structure that may include several layers of folders and subfolders.
At this time, this feature is only functional in the most recent builds of Chrome 15 Canary and even here users can only navigate and select bookmarks. Adding and deleting bookmark is not possible yet.
At first look, there is not much use to this new system, but the goal is quite apparent if we remember that Google has been working on a Touch UI for Chrome for quite some time. This new interface is substantially easier to use, for example on a tablet screen, than the traditional bookmark manager. Expect this new page to debut with Chrome 15.
