Thread: Statistics about the internet speeds around the world and its price.

Hi, im creating this post to compare the internet speeds and its prices around the world, i wanna know the diferences.

For example, im from brazil, and the internet here is really bad, i pay R$ 140 reais (about $88 dollars) for a 1mbs net, the net here is really expensive, and the Internet is of poor quality... we have the option to net of 50mbs but, is really impossible pay for this, is about R$500 reais ($350 dollars), in my state, but in believe that the net is same in all the country. Other problems that i found here in the internet providers is the trafic shaping, all of them do this, only one or two dont, i already have three providers, and two did.

So, im here asking for yours speed test, and how much you pay for this speed, and where is that.

My luck is that on my college have a 20mbs net speed.

Im from New York,USA. i paid about $35 for my internet. ( tv,phone,internet = 102 dollar with tax)

I get my internet for free... I'd like to thank my neighbors for that. lol but whenever I get my connection turned back on it's gunna cost me $35-$45 per month plus whatever tv costs. I don't get the phone plan because, lets be honest, who really uses house phones anymore? err at least where I'm from none of my friends/family have a house phone we all have cell phones.

Yes, same. Although my download speed is 25mb, 5 up :o

I'm also the same I get 25mbdown/5mbup but i pay $60. Las vegas, Nevada USA

I'm taking Insight's 50/5 plan for a spin. At $95/month (no TV/Phone package) it may not be worth it.

Meh. It's actually better than it looks, I get 2 mbps on download. I pay a little less than 20 dollars for it. I don't mind. I live in Pakistan btw.

wow, looks that only my country have a shit internet, sorry for the words, i love my coutry, but when we talk about the internet, is sad.... comparing the net speeds of members of all world, i cry looking for my internet. I am member here a almost a year, and i see many speed test, this make me very unhappy, as a addicted on internet is hard have all what i want form it, like series and movies, with great effort I got a good amount of series, about 500gb, and I intend to continue downloading, what it is really hard with this internet.
