Thread: opinion on verizon Fios internet

i currently have comcast internet, and its not bad but pretty soon my promotion will end and will have to pay 50 bucks for it, i was thinking of getting fios triple threat internet and tv it will be like 90 bucks but i get tv and hd and faster internet are some satified with there speed thats all im interested in

I've had FiOS for about a year and a half, and it's more than made me happy. My speed is officially 25/15, but I've gotten 35/25 at times. No throttling, no caps, and while you may get a letter or two if you're caught by the MAFIAA, they're not jerks about it.

Service can flaky at times - I've had the ONT replaced 3 times and the router twice, but the techs are nice and helpful.

I don't have fios so I can't comment on that but I know that you can call Comcast up and threaten to cancel the service to negotiate for a better price.

I have fios and have no complaints. My previous isp was at&t. When I switched to verizon fios, I noticed that my internet connection is a lot faster and almost half the price.

I have 25/25 and i consistently get 32/32 speeds for only $69 monthly. I've had FIOS for exactly a year now and I don't plan on changing providers anytime soon. I've had no issues with the service or the router, apart from restarting the router about once a month.

thanks for input guys i will be making the switching, im pretty sure comcast will do anything to keep me when i call them for cancelation

What speeds does Comcast offer and at what prices?

Comcast speeds are great and the prices varies but they are not expensive to say but their damn 250 gb caps sucks

I pay $99 a month plus taxes and have cable w/ Sho, Starz & HBO, 1 DVR , telephone and Internet

I don't know how ISP's get away with caps. Everything is moving from local storage to the cloud and we need unlimited access. I would go through the 250gb cap within a couple of days!
