    Default CSS Hack publicity

OK, this is an obvious problem which is easy to solve.
    This thread:
    Security Warning (CSS Hack)
does not get enough publicity. Sure, it's a sticky in the announcements section, but that's about all it is. Some people do not read the announcements section, and come only for the invites, or could miss it, etc...
This can easily lead to people and their inviters getting banned from the trackers that use it (and, as a result, here) just because they didn't notice one thread.
My suggestion is that a link is added to the FAQ and/or the rules to make people aware of the thread. Even if that isn't possible, it can be suggested that inviters make their invitees aware of this threat before sending the invite. (in fact, I'm going to put that into my signature whether this thread is accepted or not) Even something as simple as "Please mention this thread before inviting and read it before requesting an invite" in the FAQ could save a lot of banned accounts.

Now, I have searched the forum and I found this thread:
    CSS Hack precaution procedures
but he was requesting something completely different, a requirement that people give proof of incognito mode/private browsing. Plus he was banned, so that didn't help his suggestion. I'm just suggesting that it is mentioned in the rules and FAQ, and encouraged for inviters to make their invitees aware of it.

These are all good suggestions, meaning these additions to the rules and FAQ won't take away from what's already written.

But I found that unless "layout.css.visited_links_enabled" value was set to "True" I couldn't successfully navigate PolishTracker | PT | General | 2010

Anyone else having problems with CSS disabled while visiting a site?

I just tested the CSS hack test (w/out js) on my Chromium 7.0.517.44 and it doesn't work.

As for the link you pointed out, CSS Hack precaution procedures, he suggested a SS of CSS hack test from applicants. As Vegas mentioned in that thread, it might be overkill. It would be a good idea if you add the CSS hack test SS to your GA requirements when the trackers you are giving away invites are known to use the exploit.

I must tell you what happened to me:
I was invited to what yesturday, never cleaned my history.
several hours later I was banned (not only in what).
the reason - "invite trading" via T-I.
I am using FF so it is probably it...

I really think this is important.

I really doubt you were banned for this. It is known that What.cd cooperate with other major sites and shares lists of bad users. Chances are you were on that blacklist.

I also read somewhere that what doesn't care if you use this site. If I find the thread I'll link to it here.

I also feel that all our members should be made aware of this, in order to save them from these superfluous bans!
By the way, I also have the "CSS Hack" thread linked in my signature for the same reason!

I really doubt that someone would be banned just for being a member of T-I. Nevertheless thanks for these informations, I set those in my Firefox.

Alright, I'll bite. If we can't get this added to the rules and/or FAQ, I will follow suit with sTuDD and give the midgets the link right before I rep 'em in.
