He joined What, Waffles and PTP on the same day. My guess is that one of those found TI in his history and added him to the bad users list (What.cd definitely uses the hack), causing the other two to ban him.

The CSS hack should definitely be much publicized indeed.

I am a very new member at this site and spent the first two days just reading the rules/tips/tricks etc. in the main forum, and I did not notice the hack until almost the end of the 2nd day but it made a tremendous impact on me at that time.

People in the p2p community are really paranoid about their privacy and we are always trying to protect our anonymity from the government and industry, but seeing the private trackers do the same was an unpleasant shock for me.

Currently using both CSS Hack bypass and disabled my referrer on firefox, using guides found here on T-I

Lets make the web and this community a safer place by doing this always.

PS, If some sites as you to re-enable referrer, just use a different browser like Google Chrome for that, its easier than constantly changing settings and maybe forgetting to turn it on. That would be bad.

After reading those chopping block threads a few days ago, I came to the conclusion that he actually was doing something against the rules. What that was, I don't really know (or, honestly, care).

As for the link you pointed out, CSS Hack precaution procedures, he suggested a SS of CSS hack test from applicants. As Vegas mentioned in that thread, it might be overkill. It would be a good idea if you add the CSS hack test SS to your GA requirements when the trackers you are giving away invites are known to use the exploit.
After reading all this info about the CSS hack and What.cd, I'm really glad I only use Chrome. Best browser out there.

I also agree that there should be more publicity about this hack. For both invitees and inviter's security.

Suggestion approved. I will see that this is added to the FAQ. However, reports say that the latest FF version has fixed the exploit that allowed this to occur in the first place.
