Thread: Updated Intro Form

In addition to updating the Intro Guide, we're also looking at simplifying the Intro Form. Here is the first draft of the new form. What do you think? Is there anything that should be added or removed? Should any of the questions be rearranged? When the format has been finalized, we'll setup the Speed Test & Ratio Proof fields to automatically wrap with [img] tags.


Three versions of the new Intro Form have been created.

I feel like some important thing got cut out though. Like what trackers do you want to be a part of, and why did you join T-I...stuff like that. When I joined, I felt like those could be merged with other ones.

Yea.. I agree with mysticlegend. There should be the question "Why do you want to join Torrent-Invites?"
I think that it could help us "catch" more members that are just collectors etc..

Well TBH I wonder if anyone gonna write like I am just looking for invite and gonna go out as soon as I am done....
it is just a simple question with most reply same thing I am looking for some trackers to join or some reply like I just want to join it for community and both the replys are right...

2. Like what trackers do you want to be a part of,:
well TBH most of them don't know about any tracker when they join in then only they realize what all trackers are there...I think it's better to let them do reseach and find out what tracker they really want not just write what all ames they know.....this way I thnk the members will do a reserach before joining any tracker...though I wonder how much right i am... ;)


Why to make it big all the thing we need for security are there..I think this one is perfect as we need names of the tracker they are on so that they cannot req. dupe account or name of country which will help to see ban list and a speedtest which conforms the country and also speed..lol

whether banned from any tracker and reason for banning?
whether you know about any ration software and their opinion about such software?ever used any such software?

Noobs like these should be removed in the invite section itself.

To be honest I don't think that many people are going to be very forthcoming with that kind of info. Lets be honest are you going to admit to knowing about cheating software, let alone to admitting to using it. As for admitting to being banned on trackers previously, some people will state that they have had their account deactivated due to inactivity if asked, but most will not volunteer that info for fear of being rejected because of it.

On a side note - I'm not sure if we can simplify the template any further than what it is. Yes there are a couple of questions that we could probably do without - Do we really need to know what people use torrents for? or what their favourite tracker is? I don't think the problem lies with the template but more likely to be with the amount of text that potential members have to read in the FAQ. Lets face it, there is an awful lot to read and try and take in. In my experience most will say that they have read the FAQ but in reality haven't and that is where the problems start.

I'd like to add a question to the template like If the member has any special set of skill specially the internet and computer field, you know this might help to find more talented people in various skills such as web designers... photoshop professionals and even good writers..

also it's a good idea to make the [img] tags automatically done as many new members forget to do this and they just give direct links to their proofs.

This question falls under the Tells us a Little bit about yourself. If you have any special skills and want to share them then this would be the section to do it in. [img] tags are being done automatically now as stated in the very first post of this suggestion.

I honestly do not think we need the question what trackers do you want to be a part of someday,
I personally wouldn't add about what knowledge people know about ratio cheating software because I believe it just adds knowledge to those that do not know about it.

I agree with TG I dont think anyone would truely fess up if we included the question if someone has been banned.

Not really a problem, but if you leave any field blank, it outputs the error showing BBCode. Nothing big, but meh :P
