I am not yet qualified to rep people in yet, but I read over introductions occasionally so when I can rep people in I know what to look for. One of the things I've noticed is the:
I have read the rules and the secret password is:
i cannot find it anywhere, argh.
Now A new user could read over the rules or....he/she could just read someone else's introduction and just copy and paste the password.
My ideas are:
1) Restrict new users from reading other introductions besides their own. The only disadvantage to this is that new users might be at a disadvantage when comparing other users applications to their own. I know their is a template guide but every little bit helps.
2) The more complicated way is to somehow create a dynamic password that changes with each user and we can easily associate that password with the user for verification. A good example is too keep the password in the same spot but randomize the phrase each time and when the user accesses that page attach that phrase to a msql database associated with the user name that can be accessed by anyone with 33% rep or higher. Yes this would mean a huge project for something so little, but I think it would improve the quality of user we get here at TI.
Ideas? Opinions?
