Default T-I Folding at home team

Folding at home, if you havent already heard of it, is a distributed computing project organised by the Stanford School of medicine (of Stanford University). It aims to fully understand how protein "folds" so that they can combat a number of illnesses such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.

Seeming as the torrent community is largely dominated who understand computing and spend a lot of time on computers, there are usually many members who can contribute.

A few torrent sites i know already have teams setup. I was thinking maybe T-I could create a team and contribute to the cause. Who knows, maybe cancer will be cured by "pirates"?

For further information, i submit the official site for consideration.

I really like this idea. I've been a part of folding@home teams in the past and really enjoyed it.

Its not really that much public attention, theres thousands of teams already, we'd simply be "another team"... we don't even need to call it the TI team... we can call it Pirates united or something...

And it does offer the opportunity for friendly internal competitions...

This is an awesome way to donate some unused CPU cycles. I'm sure that I'm not the only 24/7 seeder here who's computer is 99% idle most of the day. Might as well give something back.
