Thread: no signup until rules are read

well my suggestion is to not let any new members click that sign up button until they have read the rules... it seems that a lot of people who just entered the site still dont read the rules... maybe if you do this, some would actually read them and will know what they should or shouldnt do in the forums... what do you guys think???

They shouldn't be forced to read the rules..

maybe they should since there are a lot of new members who dont really follow the rules... and i dont mean all the rules from every forum, just a quick scan of what its expected

I didn't read the rules when I joined and I probably have only 1 infraction(if any), it's common sense really.

yeah but people shouldnt be given infractions here and there over something stupid. if they would read the rules, they wouldnt have any at all

and even if u made the users to force to read the rules
they would probably skim through it,
trust me noobs are proven to not to read anything (including the rules, stickies)
i have quite a bit of experience on forums and as happy dude said its all about common sence

it cant be done..cause u will click the button but u wont have read them..its the same.

yeah i know some wont probably read them but hey the ones who do wont at least break the rules

Then make them answer some questions about the most important rules.
