OK, let's start by pointing out the obvious... I'm a n00b at this site...
That's done, lets get on with it
When I joined up recently I were reading through about 5 other introductions after reading the rules ETC. and I think that it really helped me understand how to write my own. I can't see why stealing ratio proofs would help, as most people require screens including their nick at a chosen place when asking for invites...
So I would vote against not allowing n00bs to see the threads, but I love the irony in n00bs telling n00bs how to behave![]()
well, another alternative to this would be to have a special mod (maybe) for the intro section, who closes all the threads after the new member is either accepted or rejected, and removes all his personal info, like proofs, speedtest, etc. This way, the amount of stolen proofs will probably decrease. Also, the opinion on trading invites should be removed too, because we would want to know what the invitee really thinks of trading before we tell him it's not allowed.
I like that idea giga
After some thought I would like to see the people with 10% not be able to post in the intro section. I know there are trying to help though it pointless at that point, since they cant rep yet.well, another alternative to this would be to have a special mod (maybe) for the intro section, who closes all the threads after the new member is either accepted or rejected, and removes all his personal info, like proofs, speedtest, etc. This way, the amount of stolen proofs will probably decrease.
I also like the idea of not showing other user's intros.. The main reason is it forces them to read the stickys which shows a proper introduction, and it also minimizes the chances of scammers etc..
Chunky
Helping out in the intro section is fraught with danger !! Do so at your own peril.
