Guess my favorite band for a Waffle

Just wanted to make my first contribution to this website and I want it to be interesting..
Basically.. tell me my favorite band and I will give you an invite to Waffles.. I will give you guys a few hints as the contest goes on...
1st hint - It's a metal band.
2nd hint - their lead vocalist was born in Japan.
