Thread: One for music makers or wannabe music makers invites for audiozonetorrents

I have 11 x audiozonetorrents invites to give and I will give an invite to the first person who answers each question correctly. When an invite has been won I will change the question each time.
All the questions will revolve around electronic instruments such as synthesizers, drum machines and perhaps artists who are well know for using a particular make / model of a MIDI instrument.
All the questions about instruments will be based on what I consider to be classic as these have stood the test of time and many are still used with all types of electronic music.



Fifth question: Vince Clarke left Depeche Mode after their first album was released. Before he left he offered them one last song which they refused. Name the song and also the band in which he achieved a no1 hit with this song.

Hmm, you haven't given the exact year.
1982 was the year that the MIDI specification was implimented and 1983 was the year when MIDI synths hit the market.
