Thread: [not opened] code-hunt - just an idea for now...

i was just thinking about a competition - hunt :)
it'd be simpel - i'd create some unique codes, which i'd distribute among the volunteers (people who would not participate in the competition) and they'd randomly include those codes into posts they made... how many codes were given, to which users and so on would remain "secret"... maybe make different codes of different value to make it more interesting :)



people who would compete would gather these codes and simply the one (i more likely think like at least first 3 places) with biggest score would win. so more active users would have bigger chance to get points and so on :)

prices? depends on what invites people could "donate" to this competition... i'd give TL, wh, tvt... so it could be like first person can select 2 invites, second 1, third what's left or smth like that :) depends, if someone would decide to donate some of his invites...

of course, taking part in the competition would be conditional to posting 2-3 good ratio proofs (no one wants some leecher/cheater among their invitees) :))

soo... let me know what you think :) if you think the idea is good, let me know... and those who would give invites to this competition or would like to distribute codes (or both :)), drop me a PM :)

ok, as i see there is some interest, so let's start it...

PHASE 1:
- everyone who wants to "distribute" codes, drop me a PM... pls dont post to this thread, to make it a bit harder to find those :) remember that by distributors can't participate in collecting
- everyone who wants to "donate" an invite, also drop me a PM... also remember, only thing required from people competing is 2 ratio proofs from good sites (let's say something like, for example, torrentbytes, ratio above 1, at leaset 10GB download)

tomorrow i'll "make" some codes, somehow re-explain the rules and so on... just to make it crystal clear :))

well i think it would be fun, great idea. will be distibuter if there will be competition, and will be willing to give some invs when i get. maybe we should make this a big hunt with more ppl. ok in my post i will put invs we r giving. who wants to participate in giving invs pm me with what u r giving i will post it here. when we collect invs we r gonna start competition. pls only closed sites invs lvl 2+ :) ok lets collect some invs

no no, nothing that hard... you would just post a normal post and on the one of it you would put that code :) if you'd like to make it harder, you could post it in some more visible color, but it shouldn't be main purpose :)

and yep, don't pm me now, i'd like to give it a day or two, just to see if there is interest in this... then i'd post in this thread for people to send me if they want to distribute codes (those should be people, that are certain they wont need any of the invites) or donate invites :) i think good running time for the competiton would be about a week or two :)

I would be interested about distributing the codes. As you can see, I make quite a few posts around here, so I would be able to 'slip' a few codes in.

Dipplo, as soon as people find the codes, they will know who is distributing them.

For example if I hide a code in a post, everyone will know that I am distributing them....

Just make a rule saying anyone who PMs code distributers for invites will be excluded from the comp.

Feel free to PM me some invites & I will start slipping them into my posts.

yeah, "as soon as they find them"... but they dont have to find the codes from all the distributors...
and everyone will send me the codes they found at once thru PM, not into thread so that may harden it a bit... and i hope no one will trade with each other, as it's "everyone for himself" :))
