Thread: Change the world contest. winners gets ScL and more

Ok so my competition here will be for and ScL invite, bit HDTV, trancebit, and a KG account! All you have to do is give me ideas to change the world we live in/ make it a better place. This could mean so many different things but i just wanted to give people a chance to express what would be a good way to help the world and people around them. The competition has no time limit. I will give the invites out based on when i feel like someone deserves them. Well let the ideas begin

i think the world would be a better place if medical treatment was available free of charge to everyone we in the uk take our health service for granted and often moan about waiting times and all which im guilty of too, now imagine living in a country where theres non and instead of been worried about having to take the morning off work because your appointment is at 10:30 am been worried if you can find a doctor and if you can afford the medication and treatment (eg) over the past couple of years people have resorted to getting a flight to the uk and walking straight into the hospital getting treated & having operations then going back home when there well now that is a mission.

We need some form of global health service with proper hospitals where people can go to for free treatment without prejudice of whether you have money or not i believe this is one of the first steps to making the world a better place,

healthy people = more productive and happy people

Heres my idea.
An idea that might help change the world is to reduce the production of firearms. i am not suggesting to create more red tape to get one I am suggesting that less of them get made. Theres so many guns made that it makes it increasingly easy for the wrong person to get one. i do not live in a big city but theres been an increase in the number of shootings largely because its easier for bad people to get a gun. This doesn't just apply to the US. Whenever a war ends there is the matter of doing something with the vast amount of rifles and other such things that were used. there are so many of them that it actually costs less to just order some more and leave them behind in whatever country they were fighting in, and this is what actually happens. this creates a huge stockpile of weapons lying around for whoever wants them. If less guns were made, also meaning that they would cost more, that would not happen. If at least some violence could be prevented by manufacturing less guns, then that has the potential to change the world.

Wow I have so many ideas, but I will refrain so I dont start flame wars. Good idea for a GA though.

hjc give your ideas to the thread. its all opinion here, they dont even have to agree with mine. sleven you get the trance bits, although i am from texas and we love our guns here, i like your opinion on changing the world not just pissing off texans. what you are saying is make those who really want guns for the right puposes to have to look a little farther than right down the street in a neighbors house. so anyways yes sleven pm me your email.
