Thread: looking to buy a car in the next six months..suggestions?

im currently driving an 01 audi s4 and plan to sell it soon. i know i am moving soon but no idea of the location yet (waiting on grad school letters). its either going to be in california or up in the northeast (ie-boston, new york, chicago)

if in california:
-convertible
-manual
-NO fwd
-fun to drive

if up north:
-manual
-awd/rwd

It can be new or used and my limit is probably going to be less than $25k USD.

cars im looking at:
-infiniti g37
-acura TL
-nissan 370z
-volvo s60
-honda s2000

I'm looking to save gas and have some cheap reliable parts this time around :P

can not go wrong with a TL I had an 02 and loved the car the Z and s2000 will definitely only work in Cali as the North Eastern winters can be brutal and they will be going nowhere, where the TL is a perfect car for both Coast just food for thought

Get a used EVO IX or X. It would be great in both locations so you could get it sooner.

It takes mods great and is quick stock.

What have you got against Mercedes Benz? :(

a Mercedes Benz would be great if he was going for a 500 s but for what he is looking to spend he would be getting a C class and they do not hold up good to the salt tend to rust easily

haha nothing against mercedes, just that i dont think they make manual benzes(sp?) in the US. i really prefer manual as i enjoy driving. i was thinking about the evo or the sti but i dont want a car that will draw attention too much. driving my audi, i have been let off for a warning on multiple occasions whereas my past two cars (celica gts, s2000) i have been pulled over for driving 5 over the speed limit or no front license plate (i dont have a front license on my audi either..its texas..). luxury sports car is what im really looking for now that i think about it... any ideas? thanks for all the suggestions!!

another great choice would be a BMW 325 thats a great car and it looks good with a drop top and has a awd version

A used MASERATI!? You might be able to find one in your price range.
