Thread: Why do californians put rims on ghetto cars?

I personally think it's crazy to put rims on a old pos car unless you just happen to be in the process of redoing said car and haven't gotten to the other upgrades.

I was at my local audio shop the other day and saw an early 80's olsdmobile with shiney new rims on it. I gave it a closer look and they had also redone the interior, engine and now the stereo, they just hadn't gotten to the paint and such yet.

So it's not always just someone throwing rims on a ghetto car but may be a work in progress. At least I always hope it's a work in progress when I see this.

It's a hip-hop culture thing,ghetto cars like to look good.

I never got why they like to raise the front of their trucks higher than the rear either.
