Thread: funny accidents you had

sometimes traffic can be odd and dangerous so i thought it might be interesting to share our funny misfortunes. here goes mine(it happened 4 years ago)
my buddy just had his driving licanse and he was showing off by driving us to have some beers next to seeside. he stopped at the red light. than we heard some strange noises some men were shouting than my friend screamed hit the gas hit the gas (in turkish) than we heard a loud bang with the car swinging wildly . it was a small truck tire hit us in the back and the men were trying to warn us. we got out to see the damage and it was a surprising performance from a tire i can say. the man came and apologised turned out the new guy they hired was changing tires and he put one on the hill and went in to get some help. they tried to buff it out as it could but my friend didnt have a happy night that day. his father was cool though

I was in my high school parking lot and didn't check both ways before turning left. There was a girl coming from my right that I did not see since I was too occupied with my turning. Anyways, I hit her car going like 3 mph. Still put a huge dent in her car. She jumps out of her car, curses me out, gets back in her car, and speeds off. So basically I hit her car, and she ran. Works for me!

Some years ago, a roundabout has crossed my way :D LOL

The only thing that happened to my car was someone backed into it. And I actually saw it happen because I was just walking back to my car when some lady parked right in front of me backed up really fast before pulling out (for reasons I can not figure out).

Anyhoo, it's probably more sad than funny but the repairs cost her insurance more than I paid for the car. And I got a brand spanking-new, shiny hood. Hah.

Well, funny to everyone else - years ago when I'd only had my license for about a year, I pulled out in front of an armored van. The van nearly totaled my relatively new car. It took off my front bumper, bent the frame of my car.... and I took off its hubcap. ^_^ I have yet to live down the "warnings" when there are armored cars around.

After repairs the car lasted through 3 more accidents before I finally killed it rear-ending someone that cut me off on the freeway during rush hour. Almost anticlimactic given what it lived through.

My parents had a particular accident and I went to see them and I had a car crashing destroying my car. I had no problems.

i fell in a pit and i couldnt get out. but i managed it :p

the "funniest" accident was when a bus destroyed the left side of my PARKED car while turning left into a street... ~.~



didn't look too bad but the left side as well as the back bumper were completely replaced... all in all about 6k€ (~$8.5k) damage.

Funny near-accident story.

I was out with some friends, and I was trying to put some moves on a new girl we'd been hanging out with. Four of us are walking back to my truck after seeing a late-night movie. The parking lot is pretty empty. This girl had been begging to drive my truck for a week -- I wasn't about to let her, of course. My friends and I started teasing her by throwing the keys around keep-away style. Unbeknownst to me, one of my friends (the pathetic, whiney sort) had made a deal with her to get her my keys -- this is his version of scoring brownie points, selling out his guy friends. So the next time I toss my keys to him, he covertly switches them with his keys. He throws his keys to my other friend, gives the girl my keys, and she runs off. It took me a solid 15 seconds before I realized what happened, which is entirely too long. So she's in my car, driving around. I've got my hands up over my eyes, I'm sneaking horrified peeks at what's happening. She's doing figure eights in my truck. She takes a corner too fast, and it goes up on 2 wheels. It almost tipped over.

I have no idea what happened to that girl, never saw her again.
