Default Plugin your Ipod to to the car sound system?

i'm looking for this for a while, and all i could find was this: Apple - iPod - Your new car and your iPod get along so well.

which costs about 50$ ,and since i live in Israel its about 20$ more for the shipment..so i'm kinda looking for alternative solution..
one time i drove with someone who plugged his ipod to the AUX system with some weird cable, but i've got no idea how to do this.

so,do you have any cheap solution for this? i can't burn all my music to CD's because it's about 90 GB..

If you install an aftermarket radio most can actually control your ipod through their interface. This is what I have in my car and it makes it nice because you aren't fiddling with the ipod all the time, it can just sit out of the way somewhere.

Without replacing the radio you will need to find out if your car has ipod integration or an available module to add an AUX input. These are very model dependant and might not be possible. What kind of car do you have? Year, make, model?

You can actually buy a tape that has a cord which connects to your ipod.

There is an adapter, but it is expensive at $129. Peripheral iPod® Interface Kit Listen to your iPod through the factory stereo in your Acura, Honda, Scion, or Toyota at Crutchfield.com

There is also the replacement option. With something like this you would just plug your ipods USB cable into the port on the front and be good to go. It also has an AUX input incase you want to use another brand MP3 player, and the USB port will play music from a USB flash drive as well.
Pioneer DEH-2200UB CD receiver at Crutchfield.com (this is just one of many options like this available)

The cheapest, lowest quality option would be an RF modulator. It would add an AUX cable by faking it as a radio station.

if you have a cassette player one of the tapes with the headphone jacks is the best option. Cheaper and way better quality than the RF modulators

I have to agree with you. Actually, I'm buying one to play music off my cellphone into my car speakers. I tested one of those cables together with my friend's ipod, and it worked like a charm.
