Default Does No One Admire Infiniti G37?

    Wazup everyone?

I was browsing through all the different Car Threads and noticed there wasn't anything about Infiniti cars. I absolutely admire the craftsmanship of Infiniti's G37 series. I use to have a roommate that had a G35 and it was such a beautiful car both inside and out. It drove as if you were floating on air, and boy was it fast! It's too bad my roommate had poor judgement and got it wrecked. He got it fixed, but I wanted to slap him and take it away from him. I know I would have appreciated it more than him.

I went to the dealership when the G37 came out and was amazed how much more awesome it was compared to it's sibling G35. I didn't think it was possible to improve on the G35, but boy was I wrong.

I have owned a WRX and now own a Scion TC, so I guess it is easy for me to get so excited over a car like the G35 / G37, but out of all the cars in the same class and price range as the Infiniti G37 I would without a doubt chose the G37 every time. Once I finish college and get my career started it is a goal of mine to one day be a proud owner of such a great automobile. This to me would be my reward to myself for all the hard work I have put in, and I think a car like the G37 would do that achievement justice.

I would enjoy seeing pics or hearing anyones story about their experience with the G35 or G37.

    Thanx,

As it happens my friend just finished selecting/buying a car. The G37 was one of the models he considered and ended up being his 2nd choice. He was looking to buy a two year old car, so his research applied to the 2008 models vs. the current ones (not sure if there's any difference.)

He said the two things that ultimately turned him off to the G37 were: 1) horrible acceleration performance in the 60-80mph range vs other similar cars, and 2) too many of his female friends and colleagues told him they considered it a "woman's car".

He ended up with the BMW in the same price range, I forget its model name I'm sorry.

Of course everyone's taste varies and there's no one right answer on these things. He actually thought the horrible acceleration may have indicated that specific car was defective vs. the way its supposed to be, although the dealer on the lot swore that's the way they all were.

    Wazup HarryCrumb,

Yes, everyone does have their own opinion when it comes to stuff like cars. I am not sure what the difference is between the G37 that first came out in 2007 compared to the G37 that is out today, but the difference between a 2005 G35 to it's newer sibling the 2007 G37 was quite amazing and I thought my friend's G35 was amazing. Most likely the G37 your friend was looking to drive was defected in some way because from my experience with driving the 2005 G35 extensively and test driving the 2007 G37 they both have an excellent bottom end acceleration. In all actuality though the G35 seemed to have a little more pep in its step than the G37, which I was told was probably due because I was using the Adaptive Shift Control option on the G35 where as the G37 I tested did not have this option. The G37 was strictly a 5-speed automatic. The ASC on the G35 allowed you to either shift the car manually or allow it to be shifted automatically, which of corse I chose to shift it manually when I drove it, especially when I would go on the freeway.

The body style between the G35 and G37 are different and I believe the G37 looks sportier than its sibling G35. I still don't see how a G37 could be considered a "woman's car", but I wonder what they thought about the G35 because it was like a babe magnet for my friend. Also, I wonder if they are referring to the sedan or the coupe because I could possibly see what they are saying if it was the sedan, but not the coupe.

Actually, I am a big fan of BMW as well. However, they just lack personality and are not as appealing to me as the Infiniti G37 or G35 Coupe. Regardless, your friend is a lucky man to have been able to find himself being a new proud owner of a Beamer. I appreciate you sharing your story.

I don't heard many interesting fact about this model of "Lexus daughter".. But my mate oneday has driven G35 to Ukraine for trading it. He told that it was so smooth and powerful car, but I think everyone could tell so similar words about it, cause it is not, for example, VW Golf2 1985. It is a little bit more comfortable. ;))
From me, I won't tell anything about about g35, cause I've never seen it in real
