I'm looking at buying a used wagon or hatchback, and was interested in Volvo and Saab. Anyone have any opinion, advice, or experiences to share?

Im a fan of Saabs some of the turbo models are pretty quick. But Volvo's are also known for their safety.
The only advice I can give you is that SAAB is up for grabs and in the process of being sold to practically any bidder, GM is looking for a bidder and if they can't find one soon, they may simply get rid of it altogether.
Koenigsegg was the last bidder to purchase the SAAB division but recently pulled out and the deal went down the drain.
Out of the two options, I'd rather go for Volvo, Saab may not exist anymore in the near uncertain future.
Hope it helps.

Special thanks: myfm for repping me in.
It kinda depends where you live too. If it snows a lot I would go for a Volvo.
saab looks better from the front and volvo looks better from the back. The handling for saab is better than volvo although Volvo feels more solid. Saab is quicker but with Volvo is faster. If you a fan of stereo, Volvo has a much better system than saab. The interior space is the same for both brand. Like someone pointed out, if you are mostly in the snow area, make sure you get AWD in either brand you choose.
