Default Mode of transportation between states/regions/counties/whatever?

I don't know what they call interstate in other countries but what do you use to travel between different cities or areas in your country.

I live in the US and I've ridden in cars - this could possibly be fun for the driver but sittin as passenger for 8 hours in a car ain't fun.

Train? not tried yet but this might be cheapest and easier mode.

Airplane - costs a bit but most comfortable unless u got hijacked.

    Bike - not recommended.

In our country we ride a bus. Just watching a crap movie or listening to crappy music all along for 8 hrs . Better to bring along a buddy with you so you won't be bored. The more affluent ones have a car or van custom fitted with big hdtv's . You won't feel like you've travelled for so many miles. And by the time you've got to you're destination .

In our country we often use the car for travelling even if in long trips this would not be comfortable. only the big cities are linked(connected?) by the train which is faster than the car but much more expensive. Sometimes you an also find a cheap plane ticket and this is the best deal you can find, the only problem is that you cannot get everywhere by plane XD
