Thread: Anyone owner of a motorcycle?

As mentioned on title ... what kind of motorcycle do you own, what type, engine size, etc...

I will start with myself by saying that was a proud owner of a small Honda GLX50cc (chinese people will certainly know it :P) and the last three months I moved to a substantially better scooter from Honda again... The model is SH150 and is much much better than what I used to ride.
I have done 4k km already and it is going very well. Had to change tires cause manufacturer ones were crap (IRC) and replaced them with Michelin.

So? anyone else?

Well I have a 05' Suzuki V-Strom 650cc, 50k km on it. It has never let me down and I'm still using it daily to go to work, shopping, travelling or whatever. I'm might get a Ducati Multistrada which is one of my favorite bikes and give the Wee strom to my fiancee. We'll see

I have heard some good and some bad news for your bike :P
Mostly good though... Of course it depends on where you are using it as well but in general I would go for the Multistrada only if my pocket could afford the expenses that follow an Italian bike... expensive and not so good service centers (you really have to find the good mechanic that will fix your bike)...

I'm thinking of buying the GLX50, it's so cheap!
How was the gas mileage, services and realiabilty ?

I know that everyone is happy with their Honda bike, very good quality.
I noticed the SH150 has 16" wheels which make the ride very comfortable and safer, and it's also water cooled with fuel injectors, it looks like a very good scooter to me.
Place a couple of slick tires and you got yourself an awesome bike.

I had the GLX50 with an engine of a Honda Astrea (97cc) and it was consuming 3.5-4 lt/100km... the tank was of 4 liters and would do about 100-120 km....
I have changed the tires as mentioned to Michelin CityGrip... it has changes to a whole new bike and it is amazing for in city and short outside the city trips...

Those are scooters, not motorcycles :D

I ride a heavily modified 94 Suzuki Intruder 800cc. I love that bike. Has the style and most the sound of a Harley, without the crazy high expense.

Tiny gas tank though, I get about 100 miles out of a tank. It's cool for my purposes, as Tucson is almost all 40mph grid city driving.

I ride an '08 Honda CBR600RR. Its red so it goes really fast. Had it about a year, but its my first bike so I don't really have anything to compare it to.
