Thread: Are you scared of dying?

I gotta say I honestly don't have much fear, if any, of death. Whenever I look back introspectively towards the life I've lived I feel as though I've experienced way more than most my age and accomplished more as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be full of pride or anything, I've just had a very fortunate and full life. I feel I've done my share of good and bad things and overall I know my life has made a positive impact on countless people so regardless of when or why, I won't die in vain.

Not in general. I imagine if someone came at me with an axe, then I might become afraid of dying rather quickly though.

The fact is, one day we will all be dead and I cannot spend my life worrying about it. Instead, I would rather focus and appreciate the beauty of life and to be thankful for all the blessings that God gave all of us.

The above quote is harsh maybe, but I think it is very accurate about how we, as humans, perceive death. The same goes for me as well.

We are exposed to death in the media everyday. Natural disasters, murders, disease, and everything else. In fact, I think we can become quite complacent about the fact, that death is around us everyday and will always continue to be. We do see deaths in the media as statistics.

Things change when we see life ending for those people around us, our family, friends, and partners. To the individual this is much more meaningful, to the wider world it would be meaningless.

In answer to the question, no I am not scared of dying, but I am scared about loosing those people I love and care about.

I´m not afraid of dying, i just hope that i don´t die too young by a stupid reason like being get by a car or something like this. Trying to reach 100 years hehe. And when it comes, hope to be peaceful like going sleep.

I am scared of the way in which death will become me, not death itself.

I can say that I learned from a past experience not to fear death but respect him.So I am not afraid to die although I am too young to make such thoughts.
