Thread: Whale Wars: Are the Sea Shepherd crew and captain morons?

Seriously, WTF is wrong with those people? Whatever your opinion on whaling is put it aside for a moment. How long do you think it will take before they cause a catastrophe and someone dies? I can't stand them, but I can't not watch. It's like an impending train wreck.

Is there anyone here who's actually been to sea? Can you please lend some expertise and comment on what we're watching.

same, they keep changing the crew, not to professionals but more amateurs, the last episode they were going to put a speed boat in really rough water, the driver had never driven it before and the guy in charge said we don't have time to bring the gps. 5 min tops in that water and they'd be gone.
nuts, someone is going to get killed. without spoiling it, there is a major incident later in the series. I also would love to hear the thoughts of any professional seafarers.
Greenpeace wont have anything to do with them.
Intense show, worth watching

Yeah, I'm aware of the 'incident'. It was on the news last year. I still can't help myself from watching it though. It's roughly equivalent to giving a preschooler the keys to the car and telling them to go buy you a pack of smokes and a quart of whiskey from the store. And their ideas are straight out of the 14 year prank hand book. I mean seriously, stink bombs?

Lmao, I've never watched the show but I did watch the South Park episode about them which was kind of funny. I'm sort of intrigued now so I might check it out, though from what I've just seen on youtube I don't hold high hopes lol.
