Thread: Should we be in Afghanistan

No it will not, It is their land, and their territory, with their laws. We should not be there in the first place

HI all, may i say that this is a very interesting topic and i suppose a difficult
one as there are so many mixed opinions, so i cant say yes or no due too not really knowing the whole truth and whose right or wrong, but wouldnt it be nice if there was some kind of mutual understanding and fairness.
i Hope the higher athorities are the one that are well educated and making
the right decisions ?

USA shudnt be in afghanistan.. anyone with alit knowlegde on what americans doing in afgh*** and other countries that it has in war to knows that americans are just killing innocent ppl for oil n for there oown benefit,, they dont care abt world peace.. infact they are causing all the caose in this world

Actually, for me this question is pretty easy to answer.
Neither Osama bin Laden nor any taliban did 9/11 therefore no, the US shouldn't be there.

From a pragmatic point of view I'd have to say no we shouldn't be in Afghanistan. The (official) initial purpose of the war was to eliminate potential threats to the United States and its Allies, but the invasion generated ill will against the United States, which only encourages more terrorist activity.

From an economic point of view, I'm reasonably sure the cash spent in Afghanistan could be better spent domestically.

I really do not believe we should be there. I feel its just delaying the inevitable.

I felt the horrors of war on my skin, so I do not support wars.

No we shouldn't, this is one of the biggest mistakes in US history. In the beginning, the whole reason the US invaded Afghanistan and Iraq was becuase there were "weapons of mass destruction." After thay lie was exposed and they didn't find any weapons, now they say they are there to liberate the people of those countries. Who in the hell asked America to go and liberate them? The people never wanted that and most don't want to be a democratic country. We have no right to go into any other country and change how they operate and live just because we think it is how it should be. Would we like it if say Russia or a different country came into our land and told us they are here for our benefit and tried changing the way we lived and our customs? Hell no we wouldn't like it. This is a pointless war and makes even more people all around the world dislike us Americans.
