Thread: When Do You Give Up On A Child?

I am in the same situation but reversed. Like everyone said, tough love is not the same as giving up. I took advantage of my parents and caused them so much pain while I was living at home with a serious addiction. The only way I was able to get clean was after I got thrown out of the house, although my parents did help me by getting me to rehab and helping me transition into a recovery house. I don't know what the exact situation is with this girl, but in my case I did not desire to hurt my parents, but I did anyways without being forced to take the consequences for my drug use. IF they would have kept putting up with me I would probably be dead, I'm sure that would have been much more painful than pushing me out of the nest.

a person give up on a child when he is either a stupid person, a person who don`t love him self in first place and the kid show up from the nothing.. like some mistake.. and the answer is to dumb him up.. which is a very dumb move. I`ve tried to understand a person who can do such a awful thing.. but when the first thought cross my mind to do such a thing .. the end comes. If i had a kid.. i`ll never given up on him/her. I will try to do everything so that my kid to be good!
