even if aliens do contact us,we cannot be sure that they would communicate in the same manner in which we do.meaning they might be communicating using pheromones like ants(they can send complex messages using this pheromones) or like bees which dance.
the only universal language is maths but how do you communicate regarding our culture in math

I'm not sure what you're arguing now. Are you saying that because an alien species might use pheromones to communicate, they, in turn, might want to try and talk to other animals which communicate using pheromones? Your reasoning is invalid. Studies regarding pheromone communication and signaling between bees (ok.. haven't actually researched bees, so maybe not, but pheromones, yes) reveal that they are significantly less complex than human speech. Like I said before, the leading theory about intelligence is that it developed to facilitate social interactions. This means that the most desirable species to speak with on a new planet, for an intelligent creature, would be the one with the greatest communicative abilities because it would allow for the greatest social interaction. To facilitate this, it would make sense to analyze the inhabitants of a planet, watch their interaction between each other, and then decide which one to attempt communication with. It would not make sense to attempt to speak with ants even if the alien species communicates using pheromones (this doesn't actually make sense if you understand how pheromones work, but just hypothetically). This is because the ability of ants to engage in social conversation is significantly more limited than humans (or even dolphins, whales, wolves, and most other mammals). Once this decision has been made, the means of communication would need to be decided. A species intelligent enough to build an apparatus to bring them to our planet would likely be able to study us in a similar way to how we have studied bees, and once they had identified themselves to us, it is likely that between our collective intelligences, a form of communication could be established. This is true even if their native method of communication is something totally foreign to us - like perhaps they emit beams of light to communicate instead of sound waves. If they are intelligent enough, and have observational powers similar to humans, it is highly likely a mutual form of communication could be established.

What makes you think math is a universal language? Dolphins don't communicate using math. Bees don't communicate using math. Math is hardly universal, and there's no guarantee an alien civilization would develop the same conformities that humans have regarding mathematics.

i was making a completely unrelated point.it has nothing to do with the 'other species theory'(should have clarified, sry)
When i say maths as a universal language i mean maths is completely based on logic and any advanced civilization which is able to contact us would definitely have developed science and maths.I think the basis of logic remain the same throughout our universe so one thing common in our and their understanding would be maths

it would be a big waste of space if there isn't anything out there

I have very strong doubts about this statement. I'd love to hear you flesh it out a bit more and provide a logical (or evidence-based) argument about it. You might be able to argue that engineering is largely a result of math, but what makes you think that the formalism would look even remotely similar? Why would you assume science is so universal? I see no reason at all to assume the universality of science. You may be correct regarding logic and rational thinking, but I fail to see how these two characteristics directly necessitate the need for math and science.

Also, I believe my post above addressed your concerns about the ability to communicate. Two intelligent species should not have that much trouble finding a mutual means of communication as long as at least one of our senses are the same. Deaf people can't communicate like we do, but we can still find ways to communicate with them (for example, sign language), even if they have been deaf since birth. There is no reason to think that an alien species with a similar (or perhaps slightly different) intelligence to our own, which is likely if they are attempting communication for the reasons stated above, would not be able to adopt a similar strategy.

Well if we assume probability of a life on a planet to be zero.
and if we assume number of planets infinity.
Than we are asking what is zero * infinity, which is absolutely greater or equal than 1, since there is life on earth, therefore i believe there are some other planets with life on them in universe.

Well about if they interact with humans, I personally believe there is not such think as travel faster than light.. and any being on any planet is stuck with their galaxy.

To me everything i see in my computer screen is no more than math And I can communicate pretty good.
we only need to find the way to do it from planet to planet

I'm sure some intelligent life out there can communicate good and has the means to do it and it has done it.
it is us that are not ready we have just begun to use technology, but some day we will do it maybe not during our life time but it will get done.

they have to be out there. smart, dumb, large, or small. they also think there is a ocean under the ice of europa (one of jupiters moons) that may contain life. only time will tell

I have not encountered any aliens, but when I was younger I did see strange lights in the sky. I was camping and my family and I looked up in the sky and saw three white lights arranged in a triangle. The lights were all moving together in unison and none of them were blinking at all. After the moved across the sky for a bit, they all vanished rather quickly as if they were movie off further away.

I watched a show called UFO hunters and they addressed this similar sighting in the suburbs of Chicago. It freaked me out.
