Now that's it's drawing ever closer to the next U.S. election, I want to go where few dare, even though it’s been argued about before. I’m talking about the reasons people voted for Obama.
Say what you like, call me what you what, argue with me until your gums bleed… but I truly believe that the “majority” of black people voted for Obama because he is ½ black. (And if you say otherwise, let’s play the numbers game where we put the amount of people that voted in the last election, against this next election, and I will prove you wrong.)
The “majority” of the other minorities voted for him because he is a minority, and the “majority” of white people voted for him either because “it was the P.C. thing to do”, or they didn’t like McCain, and were too afraid to venture outside of the Re”pubic”an or Demo”crap” power parties and vote for an unknown.
Now before you go jumping down my throat, let me first say… I understand that. Hell… I’m fine with that! Why? If a Hungarian was in the next presidential race, who the hell do you think would be my first choice without knowing a thing about him? I’m no better than anyone else. My father is from Hungary, I speak the language, and I have mad love for all Hungarians, and anything related to the country. It’s Human nature to go with someone you are comfortable with or have something in common with. It doesn’t make for the best vote, but it’s what we all know.
What pisses me off is denial, and people who make up stories to cover the truth (i.e. “Ohhh, I like his ideas on Health Care.”)Really?! Come on.
I actually respect the videos of the black people on YouTube that flat out said they voted for him because he is ½ black. They were being honest and didn’t give a flying crap about it. Good on them!
At least I’ve got the balls to admit why I’d vote for someone. People are so touchy feely and afraid of being labeled this or that, or offending someone, that they’ve lost the ability to say what’s really on their minds. If we keep up like this, we’re only headed further down a spiral tunnel of lies.
The truth is… none of us can really make the right choice. All politicians are self-serving, and the powers behind them look out for corporate America and the wealthy before anyone else. Its how it is, and it will probably never change until enough people get pissed off enough that there is another Revolutionary War… where the cycle will repeat again, and that government becomes corrupt.
Side note…. Yes… I said “Black People” in the above rant. I think the term African-American is illogic, unless you were born in Africa, and naturalized to be an American. I refuse to use it. That’d be like someone saying they were a Polish-American when it was their great-grandparents who were from Poland.
