Default What is your opinion of the debt deal in the US and its future?

A lot of things have been going on surround the debt ceiling in the US and as most people in America are questioning what will happen next, I want to know peoples opinions on what the future holds.

To start off this topic someone posted this in another forum

with the new "debt deal" they are going to crash the dollar and hyper inflation will happen within a year I wager. Interesting fact, the President can enact Marshall Law during Economic Crisis. Guess we might just get stuck with Obama if this does happen as anyone knows once its enacted we will never get it back
No matter where your from, I want to know what you think as well

You dont need to argue directly about this quote as I just want to know some of your opinions.

I kind of think it's silly to speculate about a deal that for all intents and purposes is probably mostly a secret. Either that or it's too complicated for most people to either understand or would take too much effort to realistically understand.

My thinking on the general lack of function in our current government is that I'm just sick of the Bipartisan bickering. I want to see the country split into the Republican States of America and the Democratic States of America. Then maybe each side could actually get something done for the people that want to live in whichever country.

Until that time - I will actively be seeking citizenship in Canada.

we are all guilty {govt. included} of spending money we do not have. the stock markets have "corrections". i think america and the world in general need a correction. goverments cannot create jobs { unless you go back to the "new deal" of FDR.} they can only create "conditions" for possible job growth. all this talk in DC about the debt, spending, and cutting is not the issue. the main issue in my OP. is employment!
unemployment is still above 9%, until is brought back down to under 4.5 %, all this talk is for nothing.

Personally our government does whatever it wants and I kinda gave up any kind of respect for it when it bailed out large companies and then turned around and let the same CEOs have millions and millions for bonuses the same year (or just hired them on the presidential team)...1/3 of my salary goes to corrupt CEOs, gotta love that!

With the current crop of politicians we'll be bouncing between doom and destruction of the middle class. Until the American public starts taking interest in what their politicians do and holds them accountable then nothing will change. So much for a 1m soundbite culture and that in between game day commercial breaks.
