Yes. It has already begun with the stimulus package being passed. Now we wait and see if this is just a waste of more money which we don't have or if this is the best thing to happen since porn streaming sites.

I think Obama wants to change America and help fix some of the problems that have plagued us. The stimulus bill is a first start in what he sees as prosperity for America. I hope he's right, I really do. However, past presidents have shown that investments in the public and private sector here at home do not always pay out while that president is in office. Jimmy Carter is a good example of that. The changes he brought forth were not felt until the end of Ronald Reagan's first term.

As far as spending a trillion dollars in his first month in office, let me pose a question to you.... where would you like your money (because, if you are a US citizen and are paying taxes, it is your money) spent? Iraq/Afghanistan or here at home?

Well personally i would prefer my money to be spent by me! But yes since they are taking it either way i am much happier that it is not going overseas. However i have a feeling that this is going to be "in addition to" a lot more money going to iraq/afganistan! By the way i wasnt saying that he shouldnt be spending a lot of money right now but the question was "will he change america?" and if spending this much $ is a preview of whats to come for the next four years i think we would be crazy to think things arent going to change somehow. Wether for the good or bad time will tell(cant be much worse than what weve had recently thats for sure) This economy needs big time help and im not real sure anyone knows exactly how to fix it. But i tend to think nothing is going to help until the housing market stablizes. I really hope his stimulus helps stop the downward spiral and hope Obama turns out to be the best president in modern history!

    Just my two cents.

I think that America badly needs change, but I think that the change can only start with Obama. There are a lot of things in government that need an overhaul, not just the presidency. I do think that he will be a great president though.
