@ roll Why believe in only one God? Why not 5 or 10? Do you have proof or did you receive a personal revelation there's only one god? Also, if you have a vague personal preference for only one, would you mind telling us which one you chose from the thousands of possible gods people have come up with through the centuries and on what grounds you felt you could rightfully reject all the other ones?

Sometimes I have days when I do believe in god, and then I have days where I don't.

It's a tough one really, I've always been quite open minded. I'd like to think there is a god to watch over us, but at the same time there's never been any solid facts that he/she does so why believe? comfort factor? maybe.

All I can say to everyone is....Believe in whatever you want...as there isn't at this stage no wrong or right answer so carry on.

Also another thing that I always think of is..there is always a creator yes? So if god was the creator...who created god? and so on...

So many questions...no factual answers... :(

I believe in a God that hasn't been properly defined yet. I'll let you know when someone gets Him right.

evolution is a lie about extinction , God created a billion species and the reason that 10% of them exist today is because the rest are extinct not evolved and in the future when there is no panda no one can tell me it became a bear

No and I don't care who/what you believe in as long as it doesn't effect me.
Once it does I have problem with you and maybe your religion.

You can go worship the magical beast of the west that juggles the world every Saturday night for all I care, doesn't mean I won't think that it's stupid or you're stupid for believing it.

For my two cents' worth, it is a matter of perception.

We, as humans, are predisposed to seeing patterns and faces in inanimate objects, and grand schemes in the randomness of the cosmos. All we really know for sure is that we just don't know.

We look for truth through the microscope and through the telescope and we also look within.

Can one any one method of searching for truth really claim superiority over the others? Does my truth really trump yours?

If you try to dissect faith upon the table of science you will find it hollow and meaningless. Similarly, science will fail when held in the judgment of the faithful. These are incompatible ideas when set in opposition. And yet, when faith and science (or, for our purposes, "reason") work together, leaps in human intelligence and understanding can occur.

It was a dream that inspired the discovery of DNA.

It is the refusal to recontextualize faith in a post-evolution world that threatens to make religion irrelevant.

Only by entertaining all notions can we rise above our little cubes and fulfill our promise, and maybe become something more. But that will never happen while we divide each other and allow ourselves to be pitted against one another because of our rigid, unyielding beliefs.

    Hi,

I beleive that everybody should have to option to what they beleive in!! As for myslef my whole family for generations has been very religous, from waking up in the morning to going to bed we always said ur prayers. So i have to say "YES", sometimes it can be extremely hard for me to say that but in the end it always comes back to the same answer.

Well, here is my two cents and maybe more on this topic.

Do I believe in God... Yes. Without a doubt.

Am I a follower of Christ... Yes, without a doubt.

Am I am member of an organized church or religion... Not exactly.

Here is the reason why. Organized religion as much as individual churches are all corrupted from one thing... The Interpretation and selectivity of the message from God by the hand of Man.

Most Christians follow the Bible as gospel truth without questioning the context of the persons that wrote the books, letters and other stories within. Secondly, most people are not reading the original text of the works but a translation that was done by another person at some point within the past 2,000 or so years.

I do not say that the Bible is worthless or anything like that. But, you must take into consideration that some number of people are interpreting the stories that are told within two or more times before it was printed in its current form.

We have no direct link to the true word of God in the written pages of some book. We can take the message that it presents and apply it to our lives. But, it is up to the individual to reflect on the message and make sense of the word of God that on each of our hearts. We must be willing to listen to our inner selves to make the decision of what path to follow.god tha

Unfortunately, most people follow blindly to some other individual's unique interpretation of the Word of God throwing out their own feelings and thoughts to follow something else.

The corruption of the Word and Will of God is the single worst thing that we as humans do to one another. How many wars, genocides, deaths, etc. can be attributed to the fanatical followers of a single interpretation of the Word of God that they think is truer than someone else's?

The three major western religions { Judaism, Christianity and Islam ) all actually and technically follow the same God. It is the interpretation that has been made by the hand of Man that has caused the divisions that have formed these religon.

Do I personally look at someone of another faith differently? No. Do I feel that fanatical adherant to a specific religion is dangerous? No. Do I think of someone that is willing to force their views of religion on someone else is committing a sin? Yes.

Each one of us must make a decision in their lives of what they truly believe in. If that person seeks guidance on that decision is one thing. But, to have someone force their opinions of religion on others for no reason is the cause of most of the friction that takes place in the world since the dawn of Man. ( Yeah, and me shooting my mouth of here is doing the same.... LOL )

I dont personally want to change anyone's view on whatever that they believe in. I just hope that more people would take the time to come to a decision of exactly what they personally believe rather than rehashing some other person's interpretation that they follow like a lemming.

FYI... I apologize now if this post offends anyone. This is only my personal viewpoint. While this may clash with your own, it is my viewpoint just as much as your own viewpoint is yours.
