AIDS currently has no known cure. With no known substantial progress towards the vaccine/cure, and the exponential growth of the amount of infected people. Would it be beneficial to society to isolate all infected onto some sort of island?
It is selfish but it will also pave a future without AIDS[If the infected eventually die out]
Let's look at some of the benefits:
- We'll be taking a step toward the destruction of AIDS
- AIDS will no longer spread to uninfected persons
Negatives:
- May seperate families
- Segregation of world population is generally frowned upon
- Huge amount of manpower needed to identify the infected
What does T-I think?
