    Default Deja Vu and Dreams

When I was 21 years old, I had a dream that changed my life...

My memory of the dream begins as a friend and I drive along in his over-sized '81 Lincoln Continental. As we swerve into a Denny's (yes, a Denny's) lot and begin to park, I see another car pull into a space on the passenger side (my side). A man in the car pulls out a gun and begins to
fire off rounds through the open window. The first bullet explodes through the passenger window with a deafening crash sending a shower of glass into my hair and lap. The second round buries itself into the dashboard, sending powdered plastic and bits of molding into my eyes and mouth. The next round pierced the door of the car and blasted through my ribcage, through my heart, and out the other side.

At this point I should wake up (
or so I'm told), but I don't. My heart struggles to overcome the massive trauma but eventually shudders to a stop. I don't feel it. I don't feel anything. Everything is hazy and distant and the sound is slowly distorting--like trying to see through water--simultaneously amplified and stretched.

From that moment on, I am experiencing the dream as if it is a silent film. As my consciousness floats upwards(through the roof of the car) I see my friend shaking my body and screaming without sound. He looks distraught. An overwhelming feeling of contentment comes over me as I continue to float up, up, up.

The dream is so impossibly real that I have accepted it as reality. I am dead. This is what it's like. This is it? What happens now? I ask many questions as my body continues to float up. I now see nothing but brilliant, piercing, white light
everywhere I look. It has no source or destination, as if the light particles are suspended in time...

I woke up... unsettled, rattled, shaken to my very core.

Dreams and Deja Vu are fascinating aspects of reality. Perhaps they give us a tiny peek behind the veil, or maybe these are just our brains attempting to sort through the rubbish?

I always tend to wake up when crap is about to hit the fan in my dreams.

Once, i dreamed that I could fly. I had dragon wings and I jumped from 15 meters height. I fold to 3 meters height and i started to get altitude. I dreamed how I did fly over the buildings and people from my city. But when I wanted to go on the highroad to get speed I was losing speed, crashing. Then I woke up and I said loud "Life Sucks". I woke my neighbor and I heart that he said "It is..."

    Interesting...

I have a similar re-occurring, semi-lucid dream where I am running down the side of an enormous mountain. Eventually I am moving to fast to stop so I shoot over the edge and begin, as Buzz Lightyear would say, 'falling with style'. I usually wake up when I smack into a tree.

I can never remember my dreams for too long, so I really can't share dreams. So I'm gonna share something interesting. It's called sleep paralysis.

I haven't experienced anything personally, but I've read some interesting things about it. It's when your mind is still awake, but your body is asleep and it's kinda dreaming. You can't move even though you're awake. What's scary is that when this happens, you see a vision of a creature, usually an old lady, attacking you while you're vulnerable. It's weird because many people have experienced this and it's always the same old lady. There's really something strange about our brains sometimes. Look up Old Hag Syndrome if you're interested.

Every other night or so I have one or two dreams where I do anything I want. Well, almost anything.

Sleep Paralysis is frightening to say the least, but I never saw a creature or old lady! That's weird...

I was prescribed medication once that had similar side effects as what you described. It would happen most often when I had a unusually stressful day. As I drifted into unconsciousness, my body would literally become paralyzed as if being electrocuted(without the pain of shock). It felt a lot like what I would imagine a seizure to feel like.

As for you Spoons... Mini S&M!? Wow, just wow..

Everytime I have a dream that I'm falling... either from being pushed, jumping, whatever... one of two things always happens. I either always sprout wings, like Batman... or like the Hulk, I just fall and smash the living hell out of whatever was beneath my feet. Very weird, but this is what happens.

As far as consciousness, watch the documentary - DMT: The Spirit Molecule. It will change the way you view consciousness - maybe even life itself.

I at least know that all the persons in our dreams is in our memory - in other words, everyone you see in your dream is someone you have seen before, if only just for a second in a mall 20 years ago. About your dream - you can never know, but i personally think your mind made it up. Maybe something big, important or dangerous happened in your real life around the time you had the dream?

PM asking for invites on your own risk. If your PM is incredibly stupid, it WILL be posted in the mocking block.
