I'm surprised that so many people have actually had such experiences. I very rarely can remember my dreams, nor do I had such frightening dreams. When I was a child I had a lot of nightmares, especially about me getting kidnapped and tortured. I still have no idea why, because I also had a good and safe childhood.

Dog you are quite an amazing writer! I myself don't remember my dreams most times, the ones I do remember happen during an afternoon nap, or after hitting the snooze button. The brain is an amazing piece of ourselves. Hard to imagine dreams seemingly hours or days long could happen in only minutes. I find dream interpretation quite fascinating like how we play out our fantasies or fears so we can face them one way or another in the safety of our bed.

Every night, i dream about zombies. Im inside the woods with a large group of people in a military base. Then me and my dad(in the dream ofcourse) goes to the store to get resources, i hide in some japanese looking house becouse i couldn't find him, inside the house i find his stuff. Weapons, cellphones, radio and so on. Then something in the dream knocks on the door. I don't care to watch who did it because only human can knock.. Then i open the door and a zombie goes slowly inn, he pushes me down in my bed, and i take a sword and i try to break his skull, i can't do it, and when he eats me i wake up, atleast i think i do. When i "wake up" i can't move. Im sleeping in my dream. BUT, the thing here is, i KNOW that im sleeping, and im, trying in real life to wake up, but i can't do it! While im "paralyzed" there comes many monsters/zombies/ghosts and my grandmother and grandfather and they try to kill me, then i jump out the window of a original 3 meter long building while almost in the ground, the ground goes further and further down, and i keep on flying. Then i wake up for real.

whenever i hear of someone saying they usually dont remember their dreams i assume they smoke pot.. a curious thing about weed is you sleep like the dead and do not remember dreams. then if you quit smoking you suddenly are thrown back into the dream realm. my theory is that in dreams you are partially traveling the astral plain. and weed is such an earthy drug that it keeps you grounded here in the earthly plain. most recounts of out of body experience seem to describe it as a dream state and the life chord is usually present. i believe weed restrains our souls from venturing into that dimension. this could be viewed as good or bad depending on the individual state of mind. you might say a happy spirit will be right at home in the astral plain.where as a unhappy or fearful spirit may perceive the astral plain as horrifying or a threat. state of mind could be the real deciding factor of good dreams or bad dreams. so many mystery's in the world and so little proof. maybe 1 day science will be able to answer some of the really interesting questions. like was it colonial mustard in the den with a candle stick? :)

I can't remember the dream specifically, but I have a distinct memory of having the dream, and can usually name an approximate time when I had the dream, a month, two, six. What a weird experience that is.
This type of thing happens to me on a regular basis, the first time it happened intensely I dreamed every face in my class about a week before the new school year. I had never been to the school or seen the people, I already knew half of their names from the dream and remember it vividly. But now it has become so common that while I am doing anything I will remember having a dream of this event happening, knowing what is going to happen next and watching it play out, I can also remember things I told myself to remember about the event, I can approximate the dream like you said, but I often remember details from the dream. I have found that if I try to change what is supposed to happen next by changing my actions, the people around me still do as they where going to unless I talk about the Deja Vu I am having. It is all very strange.

For example, there is substantial scientists who believe there are several dimensions existing parallel to our's and in the dimension, it is a different version of ourself in a different world performing and making distinctly different decisions than the ones made ni the prime universe (our universe) thus creating a new "reality" although really it's just a different version. What deja vu COULD be is if let's say in both realities, the prime and the alternate, I am faced with a decision. In on reality I choose one option and the other reality I choose a different option. What could happen is in one of the realities, I feel a sense of deja vu when it is me actually glimpsing or feeling the other reality and the different decision I made, hence I feel as if it was already done when I am faced with the decision, This feeling of deja vu could influence my decision by reinforcing it because I feel good about it or making me change because there would have been a negative affect and I would want to avoid that. Hence deja vu could be a way of feeling or tapping into an alternate reality. Again this is all super theoretical, probably will never be testable, it's just fun to think about, idk if I believe it but it really is an interesting consideration. I would like to believe it.
I like to use the flat lander point of view. (google it if you don't already know it, very interesting). But I look at it at the third and fourth dimensions. If you adapt it to be the third dimension is the "flat lander" and the fourth dimension is time, and we are traveling in a seemingly straight line that is actually a jagged terrain, or even a mobius strip (like one of the flat lander analogies). That when I achieve Deja Vu I am just looking ahead in a "valley" of the fourth dimension, I am looking over what I am about to travel through to an area that I will expedience later.

That sounds like a very unpleasant dream. I once had a similar dream where I was getting stabbed. I woke up looking for the wounds. In this dream, My baseball coach from high school also shaved my head on the way to game. I'm not sure what was more unpleasant.

Deja vu about things I've said and situations I've lived? Yes but not recently
Dreams? Some of my dreams have come true. No need to mention always the bad ones

I used to have dejavu dreams back when I was a senior in elementary school and junior high. Be skeptic if you want but I used to be barraged with seemingly random dreams about my life and at times it happens in real life. Nothing lifechanging though. I would dream something from a scene out of ordinary life that seems not likely to happen, wokeup, briefly remember it then forget about it. Then several months/years later while I was doing something or talking, it suddenly came to me that I've dreamt this scenario before. But after the realization period it usually splits from the dream.
Example I dreamt that I was playing at a playground outside the grounds of a house with a lawn. Was swinging real high on a swing in a white house I'd never seen before. As my house was in the middle of the city infront of the mainroad and there are no playgrounds whatsoever I discarded it as normal dreams. A few years later my dad got a posting to another state and got living quarters along with it with a playground right infront of the house. While my siblings and I were playing there , as I was playing in the swing with the white house as a backdrop I suddenly remembered I've dreamt this before.

The dejavu doesnt happen often but during my tween years I had so many dreams of normal life that at times I can't recall if something was a memory or a dream ( Not the crazy kind mind you). The dreams were so many that I had headaches when I wakeup. Imagine staying awake for the day and night going through the motions of life but at night when your brain wants to rest, your head plays 4 hours of movie( I don't actually count the hours, duh). Not very restful if all you want is mindnumbing bliss to recharge your brain.

I outgrew the dreams as an adult and had no more dejavu moments.

If anyone is interested they should look into 'lucid dreaming' It's very easy to tap into your dreams, it goes to show that there is still so much we don't know about dreams. It's also interesting to read the theories as to why human dream-some believe them to serve almost no function and others think that they are necessary to survive.
