Thread: Which Come First; The Chicken or the Egg?

Just for a curiosity sake which do you think comes first on this planet earth the Chicken or the Egg?

Now before you answer think of this

If you say Chicken, then where does the chicken came from? Egg?

If you say Egg, then who lays the eggs to become a chicken?


FUNNY but who knows? Well, it reminds us that our world is full of mystery.

The egg. Because I believe God would have made the egg.

nah its the Chicken .. the god made pairs of every living thing .. in my thinking .. like for humans he made of Adam And Eve .. so it has to be Chicken ..

So this article doesn't make much sense. It's fairly accepted that birds, including chickens, evolved from dinosaurs or ancient reptiles. Those laid eggs. Whether the eggs were the same as they are now is irrelevant and I think that's what the scientists or at least the writer in that article are missing. The egg came first until whatever hatched from it could be considered a chicken.

It really depends on whether or not the chicken evolved from an egg laying creature or not.

If it evolved from an egg laying creature the egg came first. If it evolved from say a mammal the chicken came first as it wasn't birthed from an egg.

Anyone know what what kind of creature birthed the first chicken?

This proves nothing. Just saying. It gives worthless info, and the tidbit that the egg can only be made from a chicken's ovaries. Well, I would hope that is the only way, unless it supernatural.

I would have to go with the reasoning that God created the chicken and hence the egg came after this is my opinion on this subject, I believe that God created life so he must be responsible for the animals also

The first chicken was a mutation that came from the egg of another animal species. That's evolution.
